Forklift Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials within our facility. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and a commitment to maintaining safety standards while handling heavy lifting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load and unload goods from lorries and storage areas.
• Manage materials handling processes, ensuring that products are stored correctly and accessible.
• Perform shipping and receiving duties, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
• Maintain an organised warehouse environment, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order.
• Conduct regular inspections of forklifts and other equipment, reporting any mechanical issues for repair.
• Utilise basic maths skills to assist in inventory management and stocktaking activities.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating forklifts within a warehouse setting.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Basic maths skills for inventory management tasks.
• A valid forklift operator licence is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided for the right candidate.
