Are you ready to embark on a rewarding journey in the world of finance within the vibrant education sector? We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our clients friendly team.

Key Responsibilities:

As our Finance Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and budgets.
  • Inputting purchase orders onto the accounting software for designated academies as part of the central purchasing function.
  • Processing invoices
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and databases.
  • Input new customer and supplier details onto Access Finance.
  • Liaising with all internal and external stakeholders including assisting with credit control and debt collection.
  • Collaborating with staff across departments to ensure financial compliance.
  • Prepare annual estimates and regular reports upon income and expenditure, monitor accounts against budgets and report as required.
  • Maintain payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data as required.
  • Processing employee changes in accordance with various national and local terms of conditions of employment
  • Perform reconciliations of payroll data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Assist in preparing payroll and pension reports, analysing variances and providing insights.
  • Carry out monthly balance sheet reconciliations and support year-end processes by providing required payroll data to auditors.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in finance or accounting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Positive attitude
  • Organised individual and detail orientated
