Job Description Job Title: Commercial Electrician Location: Liverpool (In Person) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £40,000.00 per year + Company Vehicle + Overtime Opportunities The Role We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a respected and expanding M&E contractor based in Liverpool for a Commercial Electrician to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrical installations, maintenance, and testing across a range of commercial projects including offices, healthcare facilities, schools, and retail premises. The role will involve both planned and reactive works, with a focus on delivering safe, compliant, and high-quality installations. Responsibilities * Carry out electrical installations and upgrades in line with current regulations * Perform testing, inspection, and fault-finding on commercial systems * Deliver planned maintenance and reactive call-outs when required * Ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard * Work closely with supervisors, clients, and fellow trades * Maintain accurate records of work, test results, and materials used * Ensure compliance with health & safety standards at all times Requirements * Fully qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3, AM2, or equivalent) * 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations certified * City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 or equivalent for testing & inspection (desirable) * Proven experience working in commercial environments * Good knowledge of current BS7671 standards and safe working practices * Full UK driving licence * ECS Gold Card (required) * Strong problem-solving and communication skills * Based within a commutable distance of Liverpool What’s on Offer * £40,000 per annum * Company van & fuel card * Overtime and weekend work available (paid at enhanced rates) * Permanent, full-time local role * Monday to Friday working hours: 08:00 – 16:30 * Free parking and on-site parking * Tools and uniform provided * Long-term job security with a growing contractor * Friendly, professional working environment About the Company Our client is a Liverpool-based mechanical and electrical contractor with a proud history going back to the 1950s.
